UITS Awards Ratnagarbha Tahmina Rahman Scholarships to 30 Meritorious Students

On June 21, 2026, the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) awarded the Ratnagarbha Tahmina Rahman Scholarship to a total of thirty meritorious students selected from all academic departments for the Spring Semester 2026. The scholarship award ceremony was held at the university’s Ratnagarbha Tahmina Rahman Multipurpose Hall.
The Ratnagarbha Tahmina Rahman Scholarship was established in the name of Mrs. Tahmina Rahman, an esteemed Member of the Board of Trustees and the spouse of Alhaj Sufi Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, the Honorable Chairman of the UITS Board of Trustees and PHP Family, as well as a recipient of the prestigious Ekushey Padak. As in every semester, scholarships were awarded this semester under the Ratnagarbha Tahmina Rahman Scholarship Fund.
The scholarship award ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Siraj Uddin Ahmed, Honorable Treasurer of the University, while Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hashan Bhuiyan, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of UITS, attended as the Chief Guest. In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Honorable Chairman and distinguished Members of the Board of Trustees for their continued support in providing scholarships. He also congratulated the scholarship recipients and encouraged them to utilize their talents and intellectual abilities for the welfare of the nation and society.
The program, hosted by Mr. Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, Honorable Registrar of the University, commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by the rendition of Naat-e-Rasul.
The event was also attended by the distinguished Deans of various faculties, Heads of Departments, Heads of different administrative offices, university officials and staff members, as well as the scholarship recipients.
