The University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), with support from Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), has announced that 25 of its students took part in the Information Technology Engineers Examination (ITEE) on April 25, 2026. The exam was held at the Bangladesh IT-Engineers Examination Center (BD-ITEC) at ICT Tower, under the supervision of the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC), which operates under the ICT Division of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, Government of Bangladesh.
The students sat for the Level-2: FE (Fundamental Engineering) exam, jointly organized by BD-ITEC and Japanโs Information Technology Promotion Agency (IPA). This is a well-known international IT certification that helps students meet global standards. Before the exam, the students completed a 30-day training program arranged by UITS IQAC and the CSE Department with support from BCC. The training helped them strengthen their basic knowledge and practical skills in information technology. University officials said they are hopeful about the studentsโ results and highlighted the importance of such international certifications in building strong careers. UITS also reaffirmed its commitment to quality education, industry collaboration, and preparing students to succeed in the global job market, describing this initiative as another positive step for Bangladeshโs growing ICT sector.
