The University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) are delighted to announce that one of its three participating teams has been awarded a Silver Medal at the 8th World Invention Competition & Exhibition (WICE) 2026 National Qualifier Round, held on May 9, 2026. Out of 160 competing teams, one UITS team distinguished themselves, securing their spots to represent Bangladesh at the prestigious international WICE 2026 event. Organized by the Indonesia Young Scientist Association (IYSA), WICE is a globally recognized platform that brings together bright young minds to showcase groundbreaking ideas across science, technology, engineering, and social innovation.

The top 15 teams from this national round have earned the invaluable opportunity to represent Bangladesh at the grand WICE 2026 event. WICE Bangladesh is dedicated to providing comprehensive guidance and unwavering support to all selected teams, ensuring they are fully prepared for the final competition. The WICE 2026 competition encompasses both international and national segments, offering a wide array of categories for participants. The International Segments include IT & Robotics, Environmental Science, Innovative Social Science, Applied Physics & Engineering, and Applied Life Science. Within each category, participants are eligible for various awards, including Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals. This event will encourage the participants to develop resilience, confidence, adaptability, and collaborative intelligence—all the necessary skills needed in this disruptive age. These skills are essential to help them transform according to market shifts and trends.
